Paymate Acclaim is designed to install easily on any windows Computer. Following the few simple guidelines listed below should have you up and running in a matter of minutes.

Please read the instructions below to ensure a smooth and trouble free installation of your Paymate for Windows product.

Anti Virus may stop installation of Paymate for Windows

If you are having problems installing Acclaim for Windows and you have a virus checker installed on your machine, we strongly recommend that you disable the virus checker until you have completely installed Acclaim. Some virus checkers will block the installation wizard from creating set up files for the program and for this reason you should disable the virus checker.  Enable it again after the installation for Paymate for Windows is complete.   

Download the latest version of Paymate Acclaim

  1. Head to http://customer.paymatesoftware.com/ and log in using your six-digit customer ID and password.
  2. At the bottom find your Product Paymate Acclaim and click "Download" under Download Link.
  3. In the next screen go at the bottom last option "Download" and click into that page. 
  4. From under ‘Current downloads’ on your local computer. Make a note of location where you downloaded the Paymate program.

Installation of Paymate Acclaim

  1. Browse through to the location where you downloaded the file PMWCAN.EXE.
  2. Double click on the file PMWCAN.EXE.
  3. This will launch the Installation Wizard. Once the wizard has completed extracting the installation files, click on 'Next' to continue.
  4. After reviewing the 'License Agreement', click on either 'Yes' or 'No'.
    Note: If you click on 'No', the installation will not continue.
  5. Choose your desired destination folder (C:\PaymateW\), and click 'Next'.
  6. Choose Typical, and click ‘Next’.
  7. Confirm the settings that you have chosen, and click ‘Next’ to start copying files.
  8. When the installation is complete, click on 'Finish'.
    Note: It is highly recommended that you accept the default settings.

Product Activation

Note: The following steps require an internet connection.

After you have installed Acclaim you will need to activate the product.  There two available options.  If you are an existing client and have your serial number available select the first option.  If you are evaluating Acclaim then choose the 31 day evaluation option.

Installing on Multiple Computers

If you are installing on multiple computers, install and activate the program on one computer. The follow the next steps.

Steps:

  1. Start Acclaim and head to the Setup > Preferences.
  2. Find the "working directory". Select the network drive path that you would like for all work stations to access data on. Make a note of this location. Save when done.
  3. On other computers, install the program. When it asks you to activate or evaluate Acclaim, choose to evaluate. 
  4. Now follow step 2 again, selecting the same location.
