Problem:

The government has approved a request to allow one of the employees to reduce their income tax deductions at source for the year. How do you make this happen?

Solution:

Paymate only has the one income tax payroll category that covers both the Federal and the Provincial income tax deduction but the guidelines sent by the government are for both Federal and Provincial.

Steps:

  1. Go setup/Employee/Edit.
  2. Go to the Net Claim Tab. 
  3. Place the respective amounts in the Additional Credits fields beside both the Federal and the Tax Province for that Employee.
  4. Save.
