Problem:
When attempting to access your company database, an error message is displayed, and will not allow you to access the data.
When doing an upgrade in your Paymate program for anything from tax updates to product enhancements you will receive a message telling you that the company’s data was created using and older version of Paymate and that you need to restructure the data before opening.
But sometimes you will try to log in and receive the following:
Error Message: “Database version is higher than what application support.
Please upgrade your application.
Causes:
This indicates that at some point, your database has been upgraded to a newer version than the version currently running on the machine where the error is being encountered. Often, this is caused when more than one machine is being used, and an update was downloaded and installed on one machine, but not the others.
Solution:
To resolve this, you will need to install the most current version on all machines running the software. You can use your most current installation set, or download the most recent release from the customer portal: Link.
