The SQL Server Express installer is used to install a SQL Server Instance specifically for Clarity.
It is a simple wizard which unpacks a Windows application and determines the computer's compatibility and installs SQL Server for use with Clarity.
The following screenshots show the flow through the wizard:





When the installer has been unpacked, it will launch the application:

When the user clicks the "Install" button the application will run some checks and then install a SQL Server instance named "AKM".
When completed, the installer will show a successful message and close:

Error messages
There are some prerequisites for the installation of SQL Server. The installer application will check for these and will show an error message and exit unless these are all met. Here are some of the error messages:




If you receive any of these error messages, you should take steps to ensure that these have been rectified before running the installation again.
