Problem:

I am getting an error code when generating a magnetic media filing. 

Causes:

There are multiple reasons for why this can happen and depends on the error code that is being returned.

Solution:

Typically you will need to edit the T4 Supplementaries to ensure they are the right format. Some of the most common errors are listed below.

<snm></snm>:

Problem with an employee's surname, check each entry to ensure the following:

  • Only accepts the first 20 letters of the recipients surname.
  • Omit titles such as Mr., Mrs., etc.
  • Do not include the first name or initials.

<gvn_nm></gvn_nm>:

Problem with an employee's first name, check each entry to ensure the following:

  • Alphanumeric characters
  • First 12 letters of the recipient's first given name are listed.

<init></init>:

Problem with an employee's initial, check each entry to ensure the following:

  • 12 alphabetical character (Letters numbers).
  • Initial of the recipient's second given name is present.
  • There are no spaces in the initial box (they will not appear visible unless you select the initial box to check).
