Question:

I have a value in Box 52 for Pension in my T4s, but it is not printing on the T4 itself. 

Answer:

Printing Box 52 is related to Box 50, the Registration Number. 

To enter the registration number directly on the T4: 

  1. Go to Payroll > Forms > T4 > Create.
  2. Ensure you have selected the right EI group and submission number.
  3. Click the T4 document button next to the employee's name. 
  4. Scroll down the page until you see "50. Registration #"
  5. Enter the registration number or pension group number. 
  6. Click the save button to save your changes to the T4. Try to print the T4 again. 

To enter the registration number for multiple employees, and keep it there for future T4s: 

  1. Go to Payroll > Admin Settings > User Defined Fields. 
  2. Search for "Employment Insurance (EI)". 
  3. Click the edit button for Pension Group
  4. Enter your pension group in the last field on the pop-up window. 
  5. Click the "+" button to add your pension group number to the system. 
    Warning: Once you add it and save, you cannot delete the pension group number. Ensure that you are not adding incorrect records. 
  6. Click the save button to save your changes. 
  7. Navigate to Payroll > Payroll Employees > Employee List. 
  8. Select an employee. 
  9. A new grouping will appear at the bottom of the page, in the 'Other' tab. Expand this group. 
  10. Select the relevant pension group number for the employee .
  11. Click "Save Changes" to save your changes. 
  12. Repeat steps 8 through 11 for each relevant employee. 
  13. If you have already created your T4s, you must rollback your T4s and recreate them.
